Rare Breeds Farm fun!

Hey guys,

I've not long ago started up my YouTube channel again! I kind of just woke up one day with this burning desire to start it all up again, so I bought a camera and a memory card and did it! I have always wanted to make videos, I find it so much fun and I incorporate it into my daily routine easily as I've always got my mobile out taking pictures or recording. I'm a massive fan of documenting my life- it may annoy some people how often I post, but I know I'll be thankful for it one day.

Yesterday I visited a Rare Breeds Farm in Baylham (thanks to a recommendation from my good friend Maddy). I saw on her Snapchat that she was holding baby lambs, and as a lover of all things animal-related I had to find out where it was. Lewis and I attempted to go the other week but due to it being the Easter Holidays, the bus never turned up- which was annoying to say the least. So we went to get the bus yesterday and thankfully it arrived! (Number 88, Stand FF if anyone is interested).

The journey cost £5 each for a return ticket and the bus took about 25 minutes to get there, with a 10 minute walk to the actual farm. The scenery was so lovely though that I would have happily have just wandered around Baylham for the day. A day ticket to the farm for an adult cost just £7 and it was worth every penny! As we entered the cute little cottage, the little old man (who I assume was the owner of the farm) gave us a map and explained to us where everything was and what animals were on the farm that day (including mentioning that there were plenty of babies around which had only been born in the Holidays!) We also bought some food for the animals at just 30p a bag. We bought a bag each but I wish we had have bought more as there were so many animals and I didn't want to leave anyone out! I would have thought given the amount of people there that also had food to feed them that they would be stuffed but they were huuuungry.

The farm itself was beautiful. Complete with cows, chickens, rabbits, ducks, goats, lambs, pigs, piglets and more! I genuinely felt like a kid on Christmas Day walking around stroking all the animals. It's safe to say I was in heaven. Everything was so picturesque and pretty. Lew and I stopped to sit on this little bench at one point which overlooked a river and the sound of goats behind us was strangely therapeutic.

There is a play park on the farm as well as a swing from a tree where Lewis and I had a photoshoot in front of the copious amount of animals shouting at us for attention.

I realise it is truly days like these that I am so glad I got a camera. Although I haven't yet learnt how to balance taking pictures on my mobile as well as on my camera, I am loving the quality of the pictures from my camera and being able to record my day. It's always fun editing back and reliving it all. It was mentioned to us beforehand that the farm also has a tyre swing which extends out over the rivers edge, I knew Lewis would do it but I'm a total chicken (minus the pun) when it comes to stuff like that. 'Do it for the vlog' was all that went through my head and it was so much fun!

You can totally see how much I'm crapping it. I had the best day and would highly recommend it to anyone! Although the farm is only small, I would say you could definitely get a good couple of hours out of it - especially if you don't want to leave the cute little baby goats like I didn't. It's fun for all the ages!

Thanks for reading peeps,
x
