My first ever blog post..

I've just made this blog so you'll have to bare with me as I'm definitely just getting to grips with it at the moment and trying to work it all out! I basically decided to make a blog since a few people have asked me on my tumblr (teaspoonss.tumblr.com- which might explain my username on here) and I follow a couple of people on Instagram that have their own blogs and it looks interesting and fun so I'm going to give this a shot! Whether this will be any good or not is beyond me but feel free to talk to me whenever! I have a twitter: @hiyachlo and my username on Instagram is the same :-)
So I guess my first post should be a little bit about myself... I'm called Chloé (obviously..), I'm 18 and I come from a little town called Ipswich which is about an hour and a half away from London. I'm currently studying English Literature, English Language, Media Studies and Film Studies for my final year at College before I'm hopefully going to study Journalism this year at UCA Farnham (my top uni choice) as I got a conditional offer which I'm really pleased about as my AS grades weren't very great and my heart was set on this specific uni so this is going to be an extremely exciting year for me! It's also because of this that I thought it would be a good idea for me to make a blog as it would give me some practice for the future. However, I have a fear of public transport.. so this is going to be a problem I need to overcome before I go. I will make another post on and about uni at a later date talking about my pro's and cons.
I have a massive love for fashion like most girls do and my favourite bands are Crystal Castles, The Temper Trap, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Vaccines, One Direction and many many more. I have an extremely weird music taste I guess you could say, which varies from Nirvana to The Script.. I hope that through my posts you can begin to gain an understanding as to what I'm like as I'm pretty rubbish talking about myself so I hope you enjoy my blog!

Hey! So, the other day I read through some of my older posts and realised that a lot of them are about my ex (too many of them)- that was by no means my intention but it just so happens that a lot of what I want to say and a great deal of what I have learnt recently is because of that break up, I thought I should clarify that. I think it's wrong of people to say you shouldn't post about a certain topic.. Who are you to tell me what I can and can't publish? If it helps me then who are you to tell me to stop doing that? And now, amazingly, not only is it helping me but other people too. It's like if I was to post a picture of myself naked (besides the fact I wouldn't do that.. TT's on Tumblr don't count..), say, because I was having a "good body day", should people not see that and think "good on you!" I think the worst part about a break up is that once it’s all said and done, you have a moment where you realise - fuck, it’s really over. That no matter what happens from this moment forward, no matter what scenario’s you play in your head and no matter how many times you can hope and pray that they will realise they’ve made a mistake and actually they love you and they want you back. Pushing all of that to one side, actually things will probably never be the same between you again. I hate the thought of that. I want things to be just as they were. I think the thing with break ups is that when it’s over, you’ve got people around you (hopefully) to support you and make you feel loved where love is lost. This wears off after a few weeks and then slowly the topic of ‘you’ never really gets brought up again. No one asks. No one wants to bring it up because they assume you wouldn’t want to discuss it.
