vegetarianism

Hey! It's been a while and though many of you probably haven't even noticed that I've gone, I know that some of you like to read my posts (which means a lot to me, I only ever made this so that I could gain some experience before studying Journalism at Uni.. hopefully, so if you actually read my posts then I thank you very much, it does help me!). I guess I don't really have a reason behind my lack of posting.. general laziness, plus I've been pretty busy recently. Exams etc, and I've got a new job at McDonald's (laugh all you like, I get free food bitches!), which is kind of full on at the moment as I had to tackle it with going to College too and attempting to have a social life at the same time but with College ending now I have a lot more time to work.. boo! It's getting me by, though. I've actually been able to manage to pay for my own tattoo (which I will be making a post on shortly) and a holiday (which I'm going on in 12 days time if I'm correct.. Ibiza, hell yeah!), so that's a pretty big thing for me as I've never really had much money before if at all. Anyway, I've been up to a lot since the last time I blogged but we would probably be here for quite a while if I spoke about each and every thing I've done and I don't think it's really THAT interesting if I'm honest.

So, I decided to talk about my vegetarian-ness in this post. I've been thinking a lot recently about how I want to attempt to eat healthier but I just can't seem to get out of my bad habits. I've also been planning to attempt (please note the word ATTEMPT) to become a Vegan whilst at University. If I go. I'll probably make a post on that at a later date too.. Just because I still eat fish now and I don't like to. I would ideally like to block out all of that, to make me feel better about being a vegetarian. In my opinion, if you're going to do it then you should do it properly! I rarely eat fish, I try not to as much as I can but I have it on the odd occasion. I've been a vegetarian for around 4 years now, probably a little less. I wouldn't have it any other way, I honestly mean that! I think it's the best change I've probably ever made in my life. I've cut out any meat and anything that includes gelatin or yeast. A lot of my friends (basically all of them) are forever commenting on how I do it.. how I go without meat and sweets, the most common question I get asked is "what do you do when it's Christmas?!" but I honestly don't even see a difference! Ha. I never used to really eat much anyway, though. So I guess that's why. Besides, there's a challenge going around at the moment.. I can't remember quite what it's called but I know it's "make the one day change challenge" or something along those lines. Highly recommend it, I basically live on Quorn. It's much healthier for you, decreasing so much fat from your diet and I'd have it no other way! Plus, you can still have super yummy meals, just replace the meat with Quorn and you're sorted!! It really is as easy as that. Are there any other vegetarians out there? or any vegans? If there's some vegans lingering, please do comment giving me tips on how to introduce the vegan way of life into my diet! I'd preferably like to ease into becoming a vegan, rather than just jumping into it straight away. Hope this has influenced some of you to change your diet! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask away, I understand this was pretty brief!
