Dare I say it.. University

Hello all! It has been a little while since I last posted but I would never leave this bad boy for good. I hope you've all been doing well, things have been a little tough at home recently but I am trying to remain optimistic so I'm good. Not a lot has been going on recently in the world of Chlo, I have decided to dedicate this post to talking about the dreaded subject.. University.

At first I wasn't so sure University was a good idea, I didn't like the thought of being away from home (especially since I have a little sister aged five who is pretty much everything to me), I didn't like the idea of being out of my comfort zone; my daily routine that has been the same basically since I popped into the world 18 years ago, though change is good, sometimes it can be the opposite, I have a fear of public transport so along with the fear of Uni, that will also be something I have to attempt to get over, I didn't want to be away from my friends.. it felt like almost in a way society works you up for this moment, for your whole life you are made to make friends etc etc and then when it comes down to university, it all changes. I almost wonder what the point in it all is because it feels like I'm going to lose all that anyway. Yes, I will gain so much with it but in my opinion, the negative side out weighs the positives and I guess that's bad. That's why I'm trying to see it from another perspective but it is hard. I won't deny that.

I applied to University some time in January and honestly I didn't expect to get into a single place, (I thought they would all take a look at my personal statement, previous grades and laugh at my bravery) let alone get into 4 out of the 5 places I applied to! I am seriously chuffed with myself. My top choices are Brighton and UCA Farnham and I think Brighton will be my firm choice with it being harder to get into etc, it will be my motivation for my upcoming exams! I would love to know if any of you are applying to anywhere/have got into any university's and it would also be really helpful if some of you could let me know any information about either of my top choices to help me make my decision, whether that being you have been to these places, you are going to apply to either of these places or you know anyone that has been/is going to these places! It's undoubtedly a stressful time so if any of you are going through picking future University's or are going to in the near future then good luck and my advice to you all would be to go with your heart! You really can do it if you put your heart into it and work for it.

  1. I applied to universisites this year too! Sometime last year I decided I want to study in the UK, but last year I was so afraid of it I just skipped it. But this summer I finally decided that this year, I`ll do it! And I got into Anglia Ruskin, Worcester and two other places, and I firmed Anglia some time ago. I am so exited to finally be studying Film (my dream) but hell I am afraid to leave Finland for good and jfeiaogrjdxhjxio new city new people new everything... It is scary alright!
So yeah I can relate to what you are feeling now :) What are you going to be studying?
